Then we’d best start using small words if we want to reach across the aisle. They have their own special brand of furiously ignorant denial that will repel any sort of intelligence the GOP is going to need to rebuild itself. That’s the core of their problem. They revel in their stupidity, to the point [...]

No more polls. No more gaffes. No more McCain. No more Schmidtstorm. No more Davis. No more Palin. No more Palin. No more Palin. No more predictions. No more racebaiting. No more Ayers. No more Wright. No more socialism. No more lies. No more undecided voters. No more Bush. No more Cheney. No more center-right. [...]
Great diary over at Kos about the College Republicans. Seems two years ago, another CR tried to say he was attacked for his political views. Turns out, he was just beat up by his friends.
Like I said, this is their M.O. Dirty Tricks are a part of their history.
Ashley Todd tried to make an event, [...]
It’s the final week, and those insane undecideds are going to, well, decide. That means some of them will decide for McCain, perhaps even the majority of the undecided. However, if we take away 1% of the vote for the Independents, For Obama to keep an 8% lead in a two party race, he needs to hit 53% to McCain’s 46%. Doable, no doubt, but Obama’s ceiling has been around 52%, with occasional breaks into 53%. McCain’s shown support levels in excess of 46%, so he’s the one with more room to grow.
The Obama campaign released a memo on the strong early voting turnout, and strong new/sporadic voter turnout this year. This is how they break down the numbers/
The second Ashley Todd was revealed to be a College Republican, I knew it was a hoax. Yes, that’s right, the word is out: Ashley Todd of carved ‘B’ fame lied about the whole incident. Susan Smith’s body lies a’smoldering in prison.
Whenever you see the words College Republican, be suspicious. Their history is entangled in the greatest political scandal in our nation’s history, and the people responsible for those actions are still out there today. That this particular case of a College Republican has so many holes shouldn’t be surprising; it should simply be more cause of skepticsm. I’m not going to underestimate the dirty tricks the McCain campaign will pull to try to win this thing, and I definitely chalk this up as one of them.
If the Republicans ever want to be taken seriously again, I suggest, at their next big convention, someone run a seminar on what it means to live in the age of the internet, with specific focus on YouTube and it’s ability to hoist you by your own petard.
That’s where this story’s legs come from. It’s not just that it opens Palin to ridicule. It opens McCain to criticism and actual outrage from his own party, and furthers the fractious image of the GOP. On the surface it’s superficial, but really, it’s a symptom of the larger problem with the campaign. It’s wasted money, and it portends bad government.

We’ve been knocked here a few times for our site showing “McCain / Palin” ads—a problem we think we’ve solved—which got us wondering why they showed up here in the first place. Looking at our content, we realized we’ve evolved into an anti-McCain / Palin site, rather than a pro Obama site.
